Meet Our Team
Dr. Erica Miller
Dr. Erica Miller, our director, is a New York and New Jersey State licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological assessment and evidenced-based treatments. Throughout her career, Dr. Miller has focused on helping youth and their families develop positive experiences towards learning, advocating for their academic and socio-emotional needs. Working with students who present with challenging emotional and learning behaviors, she is skilled at integrating practical and research-based recommendations to support students and families both at home and in school. She brings a genuine sense of curiosity as well as an accessible and collaborative style to all her interactions. In addition to her role as director at Connected Minds NYC, she is the co-founder of Successful School Transitions, an adjunct associate professor at Teachers College, Columbia University and a trained Good Inside coach.
As a mother of two children, Dr. Miler understands the difficulties that parents face when making decisions that affect their children’s future. Thus, her primary goal is to help parents better understand their child and to empower parents to meet their child’s needs with connection and empathy. When working directly with youth, she strives to develop insight into their strengths and challenges and guide them on how to best advocate for themselves in academic, workplace, and relationship spheres by incorporating play and real world practice with actionable strategies.
Dr. Miller obtained her doctorate degree in School Psychology from Teachers College Columbia University, in New York City. She completed an externship at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and her pre-doctoral training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in their child/adolescent program, working in their outpatient and day treatment programs. There, she provided evidenced-based therapy to parents/infants, children, and adolescents as well as comprehensive neuropsychological assessments. She completed her post-doctoral training as a fellow in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Brooklyn Learning Center where she continued on to become a supervising psychologist. Dr. Miller was also the upper school psychologist and Upper School Clinical Director at The Quad Preparatory School.

Dr. Kayleigh Kangas-Dick
Dr. Kayleigh Kangas-Dick, earned a PhD in School Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University in October 2021 and completed post doctoral training at the Seaver Center in NYC. Through many years of graduate and post-graduate training experiences, although they have worked with learners from preschool through college and beyond, Kayleigh’s expertise is in early childhood and elementary-age development. With a background in working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, Kayleigh has experience integrating structure and evidence-based strategies to help ensure that every client has the opportunity to put forth their best effort in order to capture an accurate picture of their learning profile. They have also specialized in working with youth and young adults who are gender non-conforming or are transitioning. Kayleigh is practiced in techniques to engage clients in child-directed interactions during play, an advantageous opportunity that affords children an enjoyable break from testing activities, while Kayleigh is able to gather valuable information about their social, communication, and play skills.
As an examiner and therapist, Kayleigh brings a balance of empathy, enthusiasm, and warmth to every interaction with clients. Across the span of child and adolescent development, every learner has a unique personal story and strengths that shine through, even in the face of challenge. Kayleigh’s approach to testing sits at the intersection of curiosity and care, which allows her to provide an individualized experience to clients, by meeting them where they are and gathering essential information that can ultimately help families, educators, and providers support clients in moving toward where they want to go.
Jill Ceder, LCSW
Jill Ceder is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in NYC and Brooklyn. Whether it's managing school stress, building self-esteem, or improving relationships with peers, my therapy sessions are designed to address these challenges in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. By fostering self-awareness and resilience, I help kids and teens develop resilience, improve communication skills, and enhance emotional regulation, ensuring effective and relevant support for their personal growth and developmental challenges, while supporting parents in how to be more effective with their children.
I am deeply committed to helping children thrive through the therapeutic process, specializing in supporting those facing challenges like anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, social difficulties, and adapting to change. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a non-judgmental, person-centered perspective.
With experience as a school social worker, particularly with twice-exceptional (2e) youth, I advocate for children within the school system while also offering parenting support. I believe that involving families in the therapeutic journey creates a nurturing environment for growth.
I firmly believe that every person can make meaningful change when provided with the right support. I look forward to working with you and your child on this empowering journey toward transformation.
